“I don’t know that you have to live a life blessed by luxuries to design and build a luxury home, but it certainly helps,” comments Adel Tarakdjian, founder and CEO of Tara Designer Homes. Born of European parents and favored by a classic education in France, Adel developed an appreciation for classical art, architecture and timeless design.
His passion for these things led him to the hospitality industry where he helped to manage and develop some of the finest hotels in the world, including work with the Peninsula. In 1980 Adel moved to Chicago, masters degree in economics in hand, and served in senior management positions at several leading banks including Broadway Bank and First Bank of Oak Park.
Over the past decade and a half, Adel has devoted himself to making Tara Designer Homes the premier builder of custom homes in the North Shore, Chicago and suburbs.
